The British F3 International Series

Around the world, no other race series has produced so many Formula One race winners and World Champions as British F3. The prestigious championship has been a proving ground for F1 champions Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ayrton Senna and Mika Hakkinen, while modern day F1 racers David Coulthard, Rubens Barrichello, Mark Webber, Takuma Sato, Anthony Davidson, Jenson Button and Nelson Piquet all learnt their race craft in the championship.

Regarded as the premier F3 series in the world, and the leading single-seater championship in the UK, British F3 attracts drivers from all-over the world. Win in British F3 and you are marked as one to watch in the future.

Having enjoyed something of resurgence in 2007 with a 31 strong entry list, the 2008 British F3 Series promises to be another thrilling spectacle with over 30 cars expected to take to the grid for the 11 round series. Taking in some of the most exciting venues around Europe, the Series visits circuits such as Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Spa-Francorchamps and Monza.

British F3 gives drivers their first opportunity to work with an engineer not only the set-up of the car, but also development and design, standing drivers in good stead for a career in professional motorsport. One of the only championships to allow modifications to the car, teams and drivers work closely to develop and test new parts which will aid on-track performance.

All British F3 cars feature similar technical specifications, with F3 engines producing around 210bhp. The F3 car’s stopping power is also impressive, steel brakes will slow the car from 130mph – 50 mph in just 2.5 seconds.
